FIND YOUR PERFECT FIT
During our initial call, I learn all about you, your vision for your wedding day, your needs, budget, priorities, etc. After the call, I send you a detailed document of the package that best fits your needs..

GRAB SOME Bubbly
& START PLANNING
Once you select your package and pay the 25% deposit, your date is secure and we can begin planning (YAY AGAIN!).
Twelve months before your wedding (or less, if your wedding date is sooner) we have our initial planning meeting where we start dreaming of your ideal wedding. Here, we discuss what you want your wedding to look and feel like. We consider your budget while thinking about your ideal venue, color schemes, invite list, and more.
In the eight to twelve months leading up to your wedding, we go on venue tours, discuss decor items, timelines, bridal party details, and decide on other vendors.
Depending on your package, I start communicating all of your details one to twelve months before your wedding to your other vendors. Leave it to me to make sure your photographer, caterer, florist, musicians, and venue managers know exactly what is happening and when.
One month before the wedding, we make final decisions on all details, timelines, layouts, and decor items.
It’s your wedding day! You and your lover spend the day together, celebrating this incredible commitment. I take care of everything.

DO YOU PLAN DESTINATION WEDDINGS?
Yes! I love to travel with my couples. I am also connected with many great travel agents who can help navigate the destination wedding planning process.

HOW FAR DO YOU TRAVEL FOR WEDDINGS?
There is no limit on how far I will travel. However, travel fees will start to apply outside of a 60-mile radius of Kalamazoo, Michigan.

HOW MANY WEDDINGS HAVE YOU PLANNED?
Since starting JW Designs in 2011, I have planned almost 100 weddings! There is very little I haven’t seen happen at a wedding.

HOW DO YOU HANDLE UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES, LIKE WEATHER, LATE DELIVERIES, MISSING BOUQUETS, ETC?
We’ll chat more about this on our initial consultation call. But rest assured, after 20 years in the wedding industry, I’ve learned to be very proactive. I always try to solve problems before they arise and have Plan B, C, and D ready so we are always prepared.

HOW MANY WEDDINGS WILL YOU BE WORKING ON WHILE YOU PLAN OURS?
The number of weddings I’m currently involved in varies. I only commit to a handful of full-service planning packages and between 15 to 20 partially planned weddings per year.
I do this to ensure that each wedding can have my full and undivided attention. I will never split a wedding day between two couples. When we secure your date, it is yours alone.

DO YOU HANDLE VENDOR CONTRACTS AND TIPPING?
A contract with a vendor is a personal and legally binding agreement. Therefore, I cannot sign contracts on behalf of my couples. However, I facilitate conversations, review all contracts, and help my couples navigate the contract process.
I also provide a vendor tipping guide after our first meeting. This way, you can include the vendor tips in your budget and planning.

DO YOU PLAN LGBTQIA+ WEDDINGS?
Yes! I believe that love is love and I love celebrating with people from all walks of life.

WHAT IS THE AVERAGE WEDDING BUDGET FOR THE COUPLES YOU SERVE?
Most of my couples have a budget of $75,000 or more.

HOW DOES PAYMENT WORK?
25% of your package cost is due when you sign the contract to secure your wedding date. The rest of the payment will be due in three increments. These are evenly distributed between signing your contract and the one-month mark before your wedding.
The payments must be completed one month before your wedding.
